GVB Amsterdam drieasser (three axle) tram no. 927 + trailer on lijn 27 "Extra Dienst" photographed during September 1971 in the Kinkerstraat with the tram just passing the crossing with the Jan Pieter Heijestraat. The block with the blinded windows on the corner left is still there and the only block left in this area with Paris balconies.
Tramlijn 27 was the highest line number ever in Amsterdam which ran as an additional rush hour tram (“extra tram”) between 10-09-1962 and 18-10-1971. This route bore the same toute colors as the former lijn 23 (ended in 1956) for the simple reason that the lijn color glasses were still in stock.
