LT Feltham cars 2144 and 2162 (behind) are seen at Penhall Road yard, Charlton. Alas not bound for Leeds like their 'sisters' that were stored here prior to preparing for the journey north. Both were damaged by fire and beyond economic recovery at Birxton Hill depot on 19th. November, 1950, being scrapped by George Cohen 600 Group during the week ending 6th. May, 1951 - the trucks being sold on 13th. June, 1951. The lost of these two Felthams to Leeds was made up by sending 'Bluebird' instead otherwise its preservation at the National Tramway Museum today may never have come about.
