Glasgow & South Western Railway 4-4-0 no. 462 was a Hugh Smellie designed 153 class built at the railways's own Kilmarnock works in the 1889. No. 462 became no. 14154 in the LMSR fleet list and survived only until March 1927.

Beyond the tender and wagon is the western end of the twin-gabled building whose eastern end appears in two previously identified shots. On the left is the Elmslie Woollen Mills whose western end, to the left of the camera in this shot, appears on right of the picture of 14242."
