The final days for the Southern Electric 4-COR units were spent on secondary duties mainly along the south coast. Here we see 4-COR 3160 in its final form of corporate blue livery with the entire front acting as a yellow warning panel. The headcode '1' suggests that this shot taken at Hove was a Brighton to West Worthing service and David Woodcock's sharp eyes have spotted that there are 2-car electric units, probably withdrawn, stabled in the non-electrified yard, so, circa 1970 probably.
