There was seemingly no end to the ingenuity of railtour planners when it came to routes and motive power. This tour started at Marylebone in the heart of London with a pair of former MS&LR Parker N5 0-6-2T's, 69257 and 69313, as the motive power and went to Waterloo via the bluebell line, Brighton, Hayling Island and Portsmouth Harbour. Maunsell Schools class 4-4-0 no.30929 Malvern took over haulage duties for the final leg from Portsmouth Harbour to Waterloo.
