SR Maunsell designed L1 class 4-4-0 No. 31786 at what I think is probably Robertsbridge but please correct me if that's wrong. I think this was a light engine working in connection with the LCGB's The South Eastern Limited Rail Tour on 11/6/61.
31786 was built by NBL in 1926 and worked mainly on the south eastern section of BR but was one of the class that was transferred to Nine Elms as electrification loomed in Kent and was finally withdrawn in February 1962 having spent almost three years on 'foreign' metals.
