The rare sight of a double-headed Bournemouth Belle taken from the Mount Pleasant road bridge at Alton. This was a Down weekend diversion via the Watercress line on 8/1/61. The train engine is rebuilt Bulleid Merchant Navy pacific no. 35018 British India Line whilst the pilot is commendably clean Maunsell 'U' class mogul no. 31628 which had been a Guildford engine since 1950 and would remain so until withdrawal in June 1964.
