An undocumented original negative just after the grouping   - the headcode is Southern and not SECR -   of Wainwright 'D' class 4-4-0 no. 488 in WW1 grey livery. The mixed stock is interesting and a viewer believes that this an up train between Bromley South and Bickley taken from what were then allotment gardens between Siward Road and the railway (not far from where Henry Casserley lived later). Bickley down homes and part of the gasworks visible far right..
