Sutton Bingham station station was sited not far to the west of Yeovil Junction on the LSWR main line to Exeter. Although it never saw much use it managed to survive for just over a hundred years being opened in 1860 and closing in 1962. I think we are looking here at the down paltform with that neat signal cabin in situ. Chris Osment: "Yes, the signal-box was on the Down platform and survived in use until May 1965."
