No. 333 was one of the LSWR Drummond era design failures generically known as 'Paddleboxes. This example, photographed at an unnamed shed, is one of the five F13 4-6-0's built at Nine Elms works in 1905 and is the only example that Urie rebuilt with superheater and extended smokebox in June 1920 and so this shot was taken between then and August 1924 when it was withdrawn.
