An unidentified Drummond T9 4-4-0 hauling LSWR liveried stock with the third coach being of particular interest.
Chris Knowles-Thomas tells us that the third coach is a LSWR diner, one of 23 built between 1904 and 1910 with clerestory roofs, a rare occurrence on the LSWR. The SR rebuilt them with elliptical roofs in 1931. Most were altered to saloons but 9 remained in use as diners until WW2.
