The Hayling Island branch holds a fascination for many and this shot of a branch train is as interesting as any. The image facts are that the engine is spotless Stroudley Terrier A1X 0-6-0T no. 32677 in charge of the 5.35 Havant - Hayling Island service at North Hayling on June 15th, 1958. However, the rolling stock is arguably as interesting as the engine with a pre-grouping coach in green livery flanked by three BR suburban coaches in red livery.
