LCGB: The Great Central Rail Tour 3/9/66
Rebuilt Bulleid Merchant Navy pacific No. 35030 Elder Dempster Line at the unlikely location of Acton on its journey from Waterloo to Nottingham Victoria. There were some interesting routes and motive power back in those days. This tour made use of two Thompson B1 4-6-0's and an EM1 electric loco whilt it went as far north as Penistone. The outward journey for 35030 was via Harrow-on-the-Hill and Aylesbury whilst the return was via Princes Risborough and High Wycombe to Marylebone.
