LNER North Eastern Steam Engine
Raven Q5 0-8-0 no. 3255 piloting an unidentified WD 2-8-0 at Harrogate Stray.
3255 was a Wilson Worsdell designed engine for the NER that entered service in 1901 and was probably a Darlington allocated engine in this picture. A move to Neville Hill came in September 1948 and then to Selby in February 1949 followed by withdrawal in the November. 3255 never received BR branding.
