LNER Gresley A4 pacific No. 60008 Dwight D. Eisenhower backs out of King;s Cross station in the summer of 1956. 60008 had entered service in September 1937 as No. 4496 and called Golden Shuttle but was renamed in 1947 to commemorate the achievements of the Allied Commander-in-Chief during the second world war. This loco spent almost all of its working life allocated to either Grantham or King's Cross depots and was withdrawn from service at New England in 1963 but the story doesn't end there as it was donated to America's National Railway Museum at Green Bay. At the time of writing (21/8/12) 60008 is being returned to the UK for a loan period of two years as I understand it.
