Thompson's A1/1 class 1945 rebuild of Gresley A10 class pacific Great Northern is depicted here as BR no. 60113 with it's original unique smoke deflectors at York mpd. The loco's livery of BR blue with broad black and narrow white lining was worn for only the brief period from 1/50 until 5/51. This loco was beset with design problems throughout its working life in this form and was withdrawn from service on 19/9/62 whilst allocated to Doncaster shed.
