LNER Ivatt C1 class 4-4-2 no. 3273 was built Doncaster in June 1904 with works no. 1031 and entered GNR service as its no. 273. Piston Valves and a superheated 24 element boiler were fitted in March 1916 and that was replaced by a 32 element boiler in June 1920. The LNER '3' prefix was applied in May 1925. 3273 survived WW2 and was renumbered in the LNER 1946 scheme to become 2802 in December 1946 but was retired in the following month.
