LCGB: Southern Counties Limited 24/2/57
There was seemingly no end to the ingenuity of railtour planners when it came to routes and motive power. This tour started at Marylebone in the heart of London with a pair of former MS&LR Parker N5 0-6-2T's, 69257 and 69313, as the motive power and went to Waterloo via the bluebell line, Brighton, Hayling Island and Portsmouth Harbour.
The N5 involvement was short as they took the train only as far as Kew East Junction where Marsh H2 atlantic no. 32424 took over the haulage duties.
