This aesthetically pleasing 4-4-0 with LMSR no. 10131 was designed and built by Sharp, Stewart & Co. for the Furness Railway entering service as that railway's no. 120 in 1891. The FR classification was '120 class' but an author later classified them as K1's whilst the populists would probably prefer to use their nickname 'Seagulls'. This shot was allegedly taken in 1924 but in common with most smaller class members from the LMSR's combined railways it didn't suvive long and was withdrawn in 1927.
