A pre-grouping livery shot of L&YR Aspinall designed '7' class 4-4-2 no. 1407 with no other details supplied. No. 1407 was built at horwich, entered service in 1902 and passed to the LMSR which classified it as 2P. Further details are sparse here but all this class, the only atlantics in the LMSR stock list, were withdrawn between 1926 and 1934. One thing which is accentuated in this shot is the fact that they had huge 7' 3" driving wheels.
