LNWR Bowen Cooke designed Prince of Wales 4-6-0 in LMS guise as no. 25726 depicted at Crewe on 13/4/35. Built in June 1919 and entering service as LNWR no. 56, it was renumbered to LMS 5726 in February 1927 and was added to the duplicates list in April 1935. Now numbered 25726, as shown here, it would be withdrawn in July 1936. This engine was an example of the many of this class that was changed from internal Joy valve gear to Outside Walschaerts shortly after the grouping.
