Former LMSR Royal Scot class 4-6-0 no. 46111 Royal Fusilier is depicted here in its rebuilt form at Huddersfield distinctive surroundings at some time after its rebuilding with tapered boiler in October 1947 and then BR branding in November 1948. A viewer has kindly noted that the working is from Liverpool to Newcastle and is about to depart for Leeds via the new line.
? Royal Fusilier was an Edge Hill engine when this shot was taken but would move around the BR(M) system considerably before withdrawal came at Annesley shed in September 1963.
