Cambrian Railways 2-4-0 no. 10 at Afon Wen but beyond that I have no information available such as the locomotive's history. A viewer has kindly sent me the following information regarding this nice shot: "Cambrian Railways no.10 - previously GWR 213, built at Wolverhampton in 1883, and purchased, along with another similar loco, by the Cambrian in March 1921. At the grouping, 10 became a GWR engine again, receiving the number 1328. It was withdrawn in 1926. All this is from Locomotives of the Great Western Railway: 10: Absorbed Engines (RCTS, 1966), pp. K78-9. The Afon Wen location is also confirmed by at last one image on the Disused Stations web site and the RCTS volume says that, when the two ex-GWR 2-4-0s were put into service by the Cambrian, they were allocated to Machynlleth for working on the coast section, which fits!"
