Caspar, South Fork & Eastern Railroad 2-6-6-2< no. 5 was built by Baldwin with works no. 34875 in 1910 and was operational with this lumber company until its closure in 1955. No. 5, referred to on several web sites as being named TROJAN, was scrapped in 1958. There's no sign of that name in this splendid portrait taken on April 1st, 1938 at Caspar.
I'm personally puzzled by the huge difference in size between the front and rear cylinders which I always associate with a Mallet design but I've yet to find a mention of that on the web sites I've accessed thus far.< br>
