An undated view of the business side of the SBB's Montreux station probably taken in the early 1920's. This original negative has SBB 2- cyliinder B 3/4 class 2-6-0 no. 1335 and train as its centrepiece whilst the electrified Montreux–Oberland Bernois Railway's terminus, complete with train, is visible on the right.
The B 3/4/ class comprised 69 examples built between 1909 and 1916 but I have no records regarding their withdrawals from service although a French language text book in my collection suggests that all were still in service in 1947. One member of the B 3/4 class, no. 1367, has survived into the heritage era in the custodianship of the SBB's Stiftung Historisches Erbe.
