LSWR Drummond T14 'Paddlebox' class 4-6-0 no. 443 was the class's protype of 1911 vintage and is depicted here at Nine Elms in 1920. Although far better than his other paddleboxes it was down to Maunsell's foresight that this class survived in a massively rebuilt form into BR days. This example just made it into the nationalised era but was withdrawn at Nine Elms mpd in May 1949. - MikeMorant
